Biography

The Fantastic Plastics are a Neo-New Wave band based in NYC. Describing themselves as “The Future of The Future”, The Fantastic Plastics mix new wave, synth punk, and electro elements with Orwellian and Sci-Fi inspired lyricism. The band is a two piece live act, featuring video installations, custom costumes, and sing-along anthems.

The Fantastic Plastics were on Van's Warped Tour 2017 and have performed at SXSW, CMJ Music Marathon, Northside Festival, Pygmalion Festival, The Knitting Factory, The Cake Shop NYC, and have toured coast to coast. The band has been featured by BlankTV, AXS, Diffuser.FM, The Village Voice, The Deli, Baeble Music, and more. In 2015, they released their Debut LP “Devolver” on Altercation Records. They released their latest album "Malfunction" in October of 2019 and will soon be releasing a Remix Album in the Summer of 2020.  They recently became verified Twitch Partners in May of 2020.


Formed in 2009 in Champaign, Illinois, the Fantastic Plastics teleported to Brooklyn in 2012. After Van's Warped tour in 2017 the band once again teleported back to the midwest to Illinois to focus on recording and live streaming on Twitch. The live show consists of Miranda Plastic on Moog Synth, Theremin, and Vocals with Tyson Plastic on Guitar and Vocals. Additional Band Member: Dylan Plastic AKA ChickenBurger Disco provides studio drums, bass, samples, video editing, and mesmerizing video installations.

​Not only are they a band, but over the last 2+years, they have also morphed into a multi-media visual/audio art show on Twitch with interactive visuals and video instillations.They play occasional IRL shows and also incorporate the visual artistry and interactivity at the shows.
